Basic Drawing for Adults

Instructor: Katie Cassidy

Class session is 5 consecutive Thursdays from 9:30a - 12p at Anita Marie Fine Art

Class dates are January 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15. The cost is $150 for the session.

This class is designed for the absolute beginner, or for the artist who is interested in sharpening their drawing skills. Line, shape, value, comparative measurements and foreshortening will be discussed, with practical exercises to bolster the student’s abilities. Class size is limited, enabling Katie to have hands-on time with each student. Required supplies will be limited and affordable.

Richard Dahlquist

Richard works in a variety of aesthetic styles that enable him to help artists, who have established an individual style, to refine and inspire. Many of his students are preparing new projects for exhibition, commissions, or are looking to freshen their style to attract gallery representation.

Chuck Mardosz

Chuck is a classic representational artist that works with artists of all skill levels with a desire to express through painting. He will help each artist experiment with the creative process and different painting styles to broaden or to hone an individual style. Works by his students are seen in exhibitions throughout the region.

  • Classes are offered in 8 weekly sessions in our studio space. Artists provide own materials, and will receive one-on-one help with new projects or advice on continuing projects.
